Balanced (Book Review)

cover graphic for BalancedI love Tricia Goyer. To be precise, I love her writing. I’ve read several of her works, both fiction and non-fiction, and she never fails to hold my interest.

And she’s done it again. Balanced spoke directly to me. Which is great since I’m most definitely representative of the book’s target market. I own several businesses which I run from my home. I homeschool four of my five children. (Here’s hoping I won’t be homeschooling next year!) I do all the other requisite mom/wife things. And I seem to be constantly seeking balance in my topsy-turvy life.

Although Balanced is non-fiction, I did not have a hard time connecting with the book. In fact, I can unreservedly say that I loved this book.  I saw myself reflected right from the beginning when I read the endorsements and Table of Contents. Tricia’s transparency and willingness to share from her life experiences drew me in, and I found a great many tips and ideas that I want to try in the coming days.
